Capital Legal Group was founded in 2006 by Mel Barnes, a former Partner at Manelli, Denison and Selter, PLLC and former in-house counsel. Mel Barnes also was a patent litigator at the firms of Howrey & Simon and Morgan Lewis & Bockius during the 1990s. Although Capital Legal Group started as a patent prosecution firm, the present contingency based practice was designed to assume the risk that clients normally assume and has been very well received.
